When Enrico insists that Lucia marry Arturo, a man from an important family, conflict occurs. The plot thickens when Lucia marries Edgardo without permission from Enrico and then is forced to exchange vows with Arturo as well. The story ends in disaster as all tragedies do, Bunker said. Lucia Di Lammermoor is a Gemran opera by Gaetano Donizetti and is directed by Georgio Lalov from Bulgaria. It is a melodramatic tragedy with a storyline similar to Romeo and Juliet and is presented in three acts, said Gail Bunker, manager of the Celebrity Concert series. It will be performed at the Dixie State College Cox Performing Arts Center, 325 S. Bunker said. The company includes an orchestra of about 60 talented members.
