The only tiling I regret is not doing (debate) last year, With the Ricks tournament behind them, the debate team is now preparing for future competitions. Later this month, they will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. In December Dixie will host a tournament in St George. Today, the team is doing a demonstrative debate in the Dun ford Auditorium at 4 p.m. They frequently hold demonstrations, which usually include a parliamentary debate and cither an interpretation or a platform speech. Every one is welcome to attend. Many of the forensics students are pleased with the team they have this year. We have a lot of good interpreters and a good coaching staff (Eric Young and Shannon Lane), Forbes said. The debate team works hard, but they also have fun along the way. My favorite thing about debate is making people laugh. When they laugh, you know theyre having a good time, said Forbes.
