Another favorite was the chili cheese nachos, which several participants recalled having a pleasant burning sensation in their mouths. Lambda Delta Sigma sold their selection of home-bake- d treats that received a sudden discount toward the end of the evening. The new addition to Dixie College was the Dance Club who dazzled with their teaching skills, which resulted in more of a performance of the common social dances. The popular choice for clubs was photos. The Polynesian Club heated the ballroom with a tropical photographic approach, and the Phi Beta Lambda business organization, capitalized on the winter backdrop. Another favorite s was humorous that for some look a new provided its Winter Carnival Friday evening in the Gardner Center Bdlroom. The carnival was annual ftell attended and provided entertainment for all ages. The Rodeo Club was a well visited exhibit, with a mechanical horse and calf for roping Armed with a lasso and rewarded with cookies, even the younger participants were eager to take their turn. Could you eat 10 Saltine crackers in 30 seconds? Many students thought so, and were crushed by their failure The Dixie Sun, led by the loud and fearless Damion Zamora, awarded the biggest pnze of the evening, an exercise machme. The coin toss also attracted several participants, and the rewards were the talk of the evening. Other tosses included bean bags, footballs and the Jazz Bands dart throw. A slightly more violent activity was the paintball shooting gallery, which many involved, voted was the best of the show. Food booths were also attended. well cut-out- students. Included in the $2 admission price was tickets and the chance to win a compact disc player in the raffle. The evening was well attended and the clubs warmed audiences with their creativity.
