Show Page 4 DIXIE SUN May 6, 1988 Students display art Dixie College art students are invited to display examples of their craft in the upcoming Dixie College Student Art Exhibit 1988, in to be held May Arts Fine the halls of the D.C. Community Theatre A case of Uncommon Valor, Mason Mystery and the TV shows, plays a Charlie, pathologically shy young man who is fearful of making conversation with strangers. He is befriended by (played by Phil Froggy Moore), a British demolition expert who teaches training sessions at a nearby Army base. Froggy tells others that his new friend is a visitor from another country and doesnt speak any English. Charlie must However, soon fend for himself as his friend returns to his duties, and there the fun begins as Charlie overhears the conversation of townspeople who Matlock Scott Anderson, Director; end Phil Moore think he cant understand their language. Also starring in the production are Community Players Sallie Cooper, Sandy Moss, Scott Anderson, Troy Behunin, and Phil Theobald. The play is directed by Scott Anderson. Also, the Dixie College Theatre Directing Class will be presenting a series of one-aplays in the Fine Arts Arena Theater, Monday, May 9 at 7:00 P.M. ct Registration Deadline The registration deadline for the next American College Test Assessment (ACT) is May 13. The actual test will be administered at Southern Utah State College June 11. Student achievement levels in English, natural science, social sciencehistory and mathematics are measured in terms of local and national percentiles as a result of the three hour and 15 minute examination. ACT scores are required for all entering SUSC freshmen and are used for placement purposes, accoi ding to Director of Counseling and Testing Gary Dunford. Students with scores 21 and higher in math andor English have math 101 and English 101, must to must be original pieces completed by the student during the 1987-8- 8 school year.
