In her honor as attendants six beauties were chosen: Janice McArthur, Lorelie Thomas, Joan Ilene Harmon, Kay Hanson, and Peggy Hawkins, all of St. George. The seven lovelies were chosen for their beauty, talent, leadership, character, and scholarship. This years Queen, was chosen Outstanding Freshman at Dixie College last year. D-D- First Session New Buildings Dedicated Of Training Opens Training has begun for the workers of the new Hawthorn factory which is located in St. George. The teachers for the trainees, already selected, are Mrs. Marie Booth and Mrs. Ila Sullivan who ave been in New Haven, Missouri, for 5 months learning how to train workers for the new factory. The training program began Monday, March 18 in the Dixie College Machine Shop. About 20 women started to learn how to operate the machines for the new factory. The two teachers will train 20 Women at working a certain type of machine then take 2Q more and and teach them to work a different type of machine. There will be 60 women in all training during the first 2 V2 months.
