The purpose of this school is to train coaches and referees in the rules of basketball so that the game may be played well and be characterized by good Misses Helen Woodbury and Beatrice McQuarrie, two students of the advanced Stenographic Class, were recently awarded membership in the O. G. A. or Order of Gregg Artists. The winning of an O. G. A. certificate is a recognized testimonial for efficiency in art and speed in shorthand writing. It marks the difference between a mediocre writer and a writer of promise. The certificate is awarded by the Gregg Writer, a widely known magazine devoted to shoithand and typewriting. This company of singers is most unique in lyceum history. Its program includes humorous, sacred, and popular numbers Three changes of costumes are used and the entire performance is interesting, educational, and unique. The Erstwhile Monday evening, Susan was ably interpreted by Selma Lenhart, a reader of national repute. The play is a powerful charactei study and pleases whenever presented. Miss Lenhart Is especially capable in reading and interpretaion. The American Chemical Society is promoting a prize essay contest for the purpose of interesting students of high school age in the relationship between chemistry and daily life. All essays must be submitted by April 1, 1924. Six prizes consisting of twenty dollars each will be awarded in each of the states of the United States.
