JUNIORS The Juniors, as usual, are up and doing. We won our share of ribbons on Armistice and Founders days. Tell us not with foolish pride That Freshies are a heavenly beam ; Theyre the merest of green mortals And are not half what they seem. Sophs are dead ; and Seniors dying ; And the College Class is grave. They are all in such a pit fall What can help them? What can save? Tis enjoyment and not working They deem their destined end and way, And their sporting leads them farther From their studies, every day. Watch the Juniors, ye pit fallen, They will never share your fate ; Theyre progressing and advancing; Theyre sure to win at any rate. THE SECOND YEARS Honorable Judges, fellow class mates, and worthy opponents; the question to be debated today is: Resolved that the Second Year Class will be the star class of the year 1919-2- 0. We, the affirmative firmly believe that this can and will be accomplished. Our opponents may argue that our aim is too high, that it is impossible for us to realize our ambition, but we reply that nothing is impossible for he who tries. We reply that, though the road to our goal may be paved with boulders high and mighty, we have the helping |
