It has an especially strong section in western history containing some very rare books. But the education and science sections should also be mentioned as containing books that supplement the work of the departments in a very helpful way. The religion section also contains a good assortment of books, and several other sections are well represented. During the summer, a large assortment of books, selected by different teachers, was added; and a great many publications of the United States Government were obtained from the different departments including a number of reports from the Am. Bureau of Ethnology and the Smithsonian Institution ; and numerous bulletins and pamphlets were received from various state Agricultural Experiment Stations.
