Show Volume XVII - Number 2 Dixie College, St. George, Utah 84770 Foster Encourages Student Involvement again. Brett Foster, ASDC President Dear Students, I am happy to have seen the excitement in the studentbody thus far this year. These first few weeks have been an excellent opportunity to get to know each other, to develop new friendships, and to start studying Welcome Week was a fantastic starter for the year! I believe we had the best support ever by the students. Also, the enthusiasm at the football games, dances, and other activities has been great, additional evidence of a good start. Many have visited me and other executive council members in our office in the Student Union Building. And I have been at the caliber of our students this year. This being the start of the year, it is a golden opportunity to get involved. Many of the clubs are getting their feet on the ground awaiting your participation. If you have question about how to begin a club or if one exists and you want to join, contact Gordon Larsen. He is the chairman that coordinates the clubs on campus. The intramural programs will be starting flag football next week. Be sure to be on a team! If you dont have enough people for a team, contact Bill Moore (AMS President) or Julie Olsen (AWS President) and theyll do their best to get you on a team. If you are interested in other activities we have the homecoming committee chaired by Alan Bently Also our activities committee is great and. is always ready to accept new people with their ideas and enthusiasm. Diane Foster is the chairman of activities here at Dixie. There are all kinds of ways to get involved at Dixie and I encourage all students to participate! If you budget your time, youll have sufficient time to complete your school work and become actively involved in the extra curricular activities. When you are involved you begin to feel the Dixie Spirit, which never dies! I would Hike to invite aU sutdents to come to the executive council office any time whether it be to become acquainted, to get involved, or to solve a particular problem.
