Show Page 4 September 30, 1983 DIXIE SUN Lady Rebels Face Difficult Opponents By Kelly Smiley practice Pictured is the Dixie College football team during a recent break in The Rebels undefeated The games on September 17, 1983 proved to be tough for the Lady Rebels Volleyball team. The girls went up against Central Arizona, Mesa, and Eastern Arizona. The girls were beaten by both Mesa and Central Arizona. Later in the day the Lady Rebels played Central Arizona, winning two out of five games. The next weekend, Dixies Lady Rebels traveled to Fullerton, Califorteams were nia. There, twenty-fiv- e waiting to compete against Dixies new volleyball team. The girls gave them quite a show the first day, winning three out of four games. Dixie Remains Undefeated The Dixie College Rebels defeated NO. 15 ranked Mesa Community College Saturday night, September to up their 24, with a score 16-record to The game began as a defensive struggle until Mesa took a 0 lead field goal with 8:29 reon a maining in the first quarter.
