Show President Wade Welcomes Dixie Students Sewing Class Offered WELCOME I I What a delight it is to see the campus come alive again. Colorful clothes, sizes and shapes, smiling faces and a few tears, briefcases and backpacks, shiny new cars and old jalopies, bicycles and motorcycles, all blend to provide the lifeblood of Dixie College. All indications so far would lead me to believe that this will be a banner year. However, only you students can make my impressions a reality. I encourage you to let our outstanding faculty assist you in your pursuit of excellence. H 16 Years Ago in the Dixie Sun Sept. 28, 1960 The new Dixie Fine Arts Building with a price tag of $800,000 was nearing a compledon date of January, 1961. The new building was to be of split-levconstruction and house the Dixie College music, art, and drama departments. Future plans for the building included the construction of an outdoor theatre in the rear of the auditorium. n Students: Another section of Graphic Arts 101 has been opened at the 11:00 hour MWF for 3 credit hours.
