Miss Shirley Bowman Is Slated to Join Faculty Reporting for duty this week to head the department of womens Dixie colphysical education at school the with year lege, starting 1957-5is Miss Shirley Bowman. She is thrilled with the facilities and modern features of the new 8, gymnasium. Miss Bowman is a graduate of Utah State university. Most of her high school work was taken at the Sugar-Salehigh school in Idaho. She graduated from the Ogden high school in 1948, then attended Weber college two years before going to Logan. Her training practice was in the Logan City schools. Following her graduation from USU, she was employed in the Delta high school, where she remained up to the present. She comes to Dixie very highly recommended by the Delta school officials. Miss Bowman has been taking special work this summer in Calim fornia. Besides conducting the regular physical education classes, she will give special work in archery, swimming and dancing. She will be responsible for the choreography in the annual musical comedy, and she has been given the special assignment of serving as assistant dorm mother with Miss Donna Turley. |
