Instruction By BRUCE IIAFEX Has anyone seen a little green flying down Main street at precisely 7:30 and 12:45 each day? Thats Don Robinson, our d congenial, seminary teacher being delivered by his lovely wife Afton to another busy bomb dark-haire- day of classes. Behind that handsome face lies a very interesting history which began 32 years ago in Pocatello, Idaho. Since then, three years as an air force pilot, two years in the central states mis- sion, and three years at the head of a classroom have produced what we know today as Don L. Robinson, gospel professor and friend. New Instructor Added Dixie College Seminary By BOYD TOBLER We I i To Doyle Sampson Becomes Dixie College Teacher By VIRGINIA HOUSTON A new teacher, but an old friend here at Dixie is Doyle Sampson, owner and manager of our own Economy Shoe Store. Hes teaching American problems, phychol-og- y and health this year. Doyle says Dixie has been his home since 1938, although five of these years was spent in the service and three years coaching in New Mexico. Doyle was born at Delta, Utah, Sept. 16, 1920. He is a graduate of both Dixie college and New Mexico A&M. In college he majored in physical education and minored in social science. He married Edna Mae Miller in 1946 and has three children. We all hope Doyle will enjoy this year at schdol and stay with have a new high school seminary teacher whose name is Reed Durham. He is originally from California, where he spent the first years of his life. At the age of twenty he left to fill a mission in the western states. While there he held a position in the presidency of that mission. After returning, he attended B.Y.U. for one year, then the U.S.A.C. for four years. Mr. Durham received his 'bachelor's and masters degrees in speech. He also received the presidential award, which is the highest award given at Utah State. Following graduation he taught speech at the university .for one year, then seminary at Logan for one year. Mr. Durham is married to the us. former Fay Davis of Logan; they have two children. Juanita Taft Rogers Is Physical Education Head By SUSETTE ANDRI S sparkling, young and energetic physical education teacher has been added to the Dixie college faculty. She is Mrs. Juanita Taft Rogers, a former resident of A Bicknell, Utah. She graduated from Wayne high school in 1952 and then attended the Brigham Young university where she majored in English and physical education. Her minor was French and modern dance. During her four years at the Mrs. Rogers was a member Y, and later advisor of the Cougar-e-ttemarching director of the Y Calcares, an honorary social unit, and was chosen outstanding student of the year by the education department. She also belonged to the White Key, Phi Kappa Phi and graduated with honors. Mrs. Rogers was married June 22. 1956, in the Manti temple. She and her husband Keith flew to Hawaii for their honeymoon where they stayed at Wakiki beach. While in the islands they also went through the Hawaiian temple. As for Dixie, she enjoys it and considers it an opportunity; however, she could stand a slight modification in our overly warm weather. s, Mrs. Rogers believes that Dixie has great potentialities and a lot of talent. She finds it refreshing to teach in a rural community where she thinks the students are better adjusted and are more ma- ture mentally than students attending larger schools. Mrs. Rogers loves sports, y horesback riding.
