For sale by St. George Perhaps thi most auspicious and successful event of that nature which has bean given In St. Giorge during the past two years, was the Wist ward Sunday School excursion to Dodges spring last Wednesday. It was made a holiday for the town, and a number of the stores closed up for the occasion. The crowd assembled at the Woodward school house st 8 a m., while the band wakened the town with its soul stirring strains. Wagons wera furthe whole nished to accommodate company, which now proceeded to the spring. There a program of songs, recitations, seeches, etc., was carried out, after which a dance was given to the children. Lunch was served at 12:3d, a feature of which not unworthy of notice, was one hundred gallons of lemonade furnished gratuitously by the refreshment committee. 1ai l of the aiternoou was occupied in battling, both young and old engaging in the pastime. A program was also carried out on the l..wn, after which three hundred small paper sacks of cuudy were distributed to the children. Another dauce, with beating and swinging, ended the days enjoyment, the band also contributing much to the pleasure and good spirits of the company by frequent renditions of music. The event will long be remembered and will re Sect unbounded credit und praise to the Sunday school of the West ward. Cammitees on Fair. CONFERENCE TRADE, g A Large Stock of 0 Horticulture. Jos. T.
