Show OBITUARY NOTES LUCY 1 lucy dark muir wife of william 8 muir of west bountiful davis county departed this life friday august ard 3rd at she was born october 16 1838 being nearly ba N years old and leaves live five sons and three daughters she has been is a teacher and leader among the young people devoting herself earnestly to chair interest she was counselor in the primary olas close secretary to the relief society and president in the young Youn gLadies ladies mutual improvement association she has for many years led the young ladies claw class in sunday school she be was brought up in the free schools in birmingham and was prepared ared for college collece but preferred coming beere here to staying behind with her parents and brothers and sisters she lost by death otie one son and two daughters elder C W penrose preached the funeral sermon and elder john hess president of the stake hyrum grant W 0 mann and others testified to her faithfulness she was a true and faithful latter day saint MARY MAKY AM I 1 mary ann peirce the beloved wife of james M peirce of springville Spring ville utah born september 5 1823 died august 6 1894 at 8 rpm pm at af teran illness of eighteen months which she bore with faience pa pai bence ence and fortitude she was the mother of twelve children nine of whom survive her she departed firm arm in the faith of the great latter day work she embraced the same in 1845 emigrated to these valleys in I 1 1853 and shared in all the hardships ot of those early days her husband still survives her the funeral was held august 8 1894 with bishop john tuckett pr eidIng elders W H kelsey and charles D evans evana gave comforting words to the relatives and friends of the do departed parted elder J M clements giving the dedicatory prayer WM A |
