September 28 the purpose of the assemblage being to organize a Peoples People's Party Clu Club b in that district Henry Wallace was elected chair chairman a man and John E Callister secre secre- secretary secretary secretary tary Hon F S Richards chairman of the municipal central committee made a brief and spirited speech He called attention to the present political situation and the fact that the people were on the eve of f the greate greatest t political contest that had ever occurred in the Territory The Peoples People's s Party wanted a full and h hi 4 i 1 i J JS t i fair vote and would be content Z with the result But they wanted i ti every legal voter to have the privilege privilege 1 lege of casting his bis ballot and to do doso doBO so with an understanding of the issues of the Seventh h School District of Salt Lake City Utah t NAME The name of this association shall be the Peoples People's Political Club of the Seventh School District of Salt Lake City Utah I PRINCIPLES The objects of this club are as follows J To diffuse political information and a knowledge of the principles of government To aid in preserving the Constitution Constitution Constitution tion of the United States to pro promote pro pro- promote promote mote local self-government self and andi andy y i insure the freedom and purity of elections t To oppose class legislation To resist the imposition of taxes beyond the necessity of government economically administered To promote economy in all branches of public service To mai maintain the fundamental k principle of equality before the law To operate co-operate with the regular or organizations or- or organizations of the Peoples People's Party in support of its men and measures OFFICERS The officers of this club shall shaH con con-
