The Ken- m," pPjrg; -- H-Wt: CSA approves new modifications and requirement for BDU The requirement that active duty soldiers own four sets of temperate battle dress uniforms has been changed to make room for two mandatory sets of new versions of the uniform, officials in the Armys uniform and appearance office have released. The uniform officials,' of the Army personnels soldier policy division, also announced six improvements to the basic temperate BDU that includes a smaller collar, reversed breast pocket billows, increased underarm room and take-u-p tabs on the coat. Buttons on both the coat and the trousers were moved, in the revisions, officials said. Active duty soldiers will be required to own two sets, the first by Oct. 86 and the second by Oct. 87, officials announced. Part of the 45 hours needs to be completed at school where students can receive individual instruction on their projects and yet learn some new skills through demonstrations and celebrates 89th anniversary July 26 marks the 89th anniversary of the Army and Air Force exchange service. For nearly five generations, since its inception in 1895, the exchange has been the official supplier of necessity and comfort items to military personnel and their families. The service has established through war department general order no. 46 to replace, independent "sutlers and "post traders. For 46 years, each post controlled its own Army exchange service and spent the earnings locally. In 1941, the service was established within the war departments moral branch, and in 1948, it was redesignated the Army and Air Force exchange service.
