Spring is going to be here soon. The snow starts to melt now. creative writing contest at the school, and the winners are printed on this page for everyone to enjoy. In addition to the best from each grade, Melanie Morgan's story was judged to be the best in the school. . . Spring . Spring By Clen Lanon I like spring. It is everyoneg favorite time of the year. The grass turns green. The suns rays come out while the breeze runs through your hair. The birds start singing while blue skys are coming. Sprinklers turn on while white clouds start on their way. Flowers start blooming. Bikes start going while people start swimming. Spring is the time to get out of the house. Spring is the time, when the temperature is perfect. Its not to cold and is not to hot it is always in between. The animals start coming right out of their holes while the birds wake from their nests in far away places and come back to are places and feel the warmth. The trees grow leaves which make them look pretty. The flowers grow and the mistletoe blooms. When mangolds perfume their beautiful scent. The beaches get hot and the sand gets dry. I don't wear a jacket. At night I sleep outside in the nice medium wheather. I like spring. I hope it is your favorite time of the year. Its mine! P is for purple flowers and for pretty pink flowers, too. R is rather rock than play and rocky Rocky mountains. I is for ice and snow melting away and itty two year olds going outside again. N is for nice little birds that learn to fly and nieces and nephews come to visit. I like, spring because it is prettier than winter. The leaves look green again. And the And warmer weather. tree branches aren't plain. Also some fruits get ready to be picked. Spring is birds singing. There is a lot of rain that comes in the spring. Big mama animals have babies. Crickets hopping. The babies are so cute. I also like the flowers in spring because they smell good and Caterpillars crawling. look pretty. Flies flying. Now you know why I like spring! WhatlsSprlng Bees buzzing. All these lovely signs of spring, make me want to shout and sing. These signs make spring seem very near, I think spring is finally here! The winners are: ( JA ; . $ U v ci. DIONNE WRIGHT of Mrs. Witkowskl's fifth grade did this well researched project on dinosaurs for a first place ribbon.
