V: - , a' Amu" :i ' JBh tt! s Nerd Day at Dugway Elementary School On Wednesday, January. 26, at the Dugway Elementary School the Student Council sponsored a "Nerd Day' from 8:30 to 3:00 p.m. Nearly everyone dressed up and acted funny. The Student Council chose some of the best and nerdiest people and took these pictures of theni. The students wore their hair funny or two different socks or shoes, shirts and pants that were inside out, funny hats, and some even wore wigs. Nerd Day was a lot of fun. by Tracy and Jenny Individual supplementary reading program At the Dugway. Elementary School both of the second grade classes are working on an individual supplementary reading program. This program is set up to give second grade students additional practice in reading. Every day at 12:00 to 1:00 each student reads to volunteer mothers. From Mrs. Mathew's class the volunteer .mothers so far are: Mrs. Beckstrand, Mrs. Groharing, Mrs. Wanlace, and Mrs. Hanzelka. From Mrs. Hubert's second grade class the mothers are Mrs. Shepard, Mrs. Dunn, Mrs. McCollum, Mrs. Stone, Mrs. Sprankle and Mrs. Neilson. The Commander noted it was a continuing problem, and that he would look into it again. It was pointed out that the activities of the youth on the post is a serious problem, and that a number of- - attempts have been made to resolve the situation, and thus far with very little success. Col. Carruth commented that it was a problem that wasnt going to go away, and any suggestions would be welcomed.
