That's all the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) beginning at the Deseret Test Center (DTC) Sunday is asking. It doesn't sound like much, and individually it isn't but when everyone pitches in with that one day's pay, it mounts up, and benefits a lot of people. r, The CFC is a government-authorizesolicitation of federal employees in behalf of approved voluntary agencies of the Utah United Fund, the National Health Agencies and the International Services Agencies. It replaces the separate drives formerly conducted by these various groups, consolidating all of the appeals into one campaign. This consolidation meets employees wishes for a single camto the government, and inpaign, reduces costs in man-houcreases contributions. In conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week, the Dugway Fire Department has slated a week-lon- g program of fire prevention awareness for Oct. Unlijce other fund drives, the CFC offers a payroll deduction plan whereby a lump sum may be spread out over 26 installments for civilian employees and 12 installments for military personnel. The amount given is up to the individual, but all personnel are urged to give their fair share. There are 61 health and welfare agencies participating in the CFC. Each contributor may designate how much of his donation he would like to go to each agency by using the code number shown on his donation card. All donations not so designated will be divided among the other agencies in the proportions needed for each major fund group to reach its dollar gola, or its pro rata share of the goal. To sign up for the payroll deductions, all the individual has to do is fill out a CFC pledge card and the attached payroll form and return them to one of the key men. The amount specified on the card will then be deducted for the CFC each pay period during the 1973 calendar year. No payroll .deductions will be made until the first pay period of that year. The least amount that can be deducted is fifty cents per pay period for dvliain employees and one dollar per pay period for military personnel. r Mess.
