TOURNAMENTS will be held in archery, bowling and tennis during the following week. The swimming meet will get underway starting at 9 a.m. for all those who have partici- in tho summer swimming program. As Miss Black Utah, Miss Capel received a scholarship and a wardrolie. In addition to representing Utah in the national contest, Denise sees her role as one of setting an example and informing Utahns of black culture and heritage. DENISE ENTERED the contest only three days before the Saturday pageant. The ensuing days were spent in securing her evening gown, swimsuit and talent presentation. A 1971 graduate of Dugway High School, Denise is pursud studies at the Uniing versity of Utah. An honors program at foe school has insured Denise a place in the 1974 medical school class.
