There is no time that goes by faster than the two weeks (almost) that we get off at Christmas time. Now here it is, January and a new year. We really were not off work for two weeks, it was 3 or 4 days. Someone is fooling around with the calendar. What a wonderful holiday! Because of Channel 13 I got to attend a number of Christmas parties given for the children. That is as good an excuse as I could come up with on such short notice. Thousands have written millions of words about children and Christmas, and I have no idea of trying to outdo them, but nowhere is there a light that shines so bright as the light in a youngsters eyes for that couple of days before Christmas, and the big day itself. You might also noted a different style of writing on Channel 13. That's the result of the latest addition to the staff Mrs. Sara Beeler. Her husband, Ernie, is a nurse at the Clinic. If what she has done for the past couple of weeks is any indication, we hope she stays forever. I recently spent a couple of days in St. Louis. During my visit I toured the Anheuser-Busc- h Brewery. Now that is a quite place, I would recommend it to you if you get that way someday. It went on to say that the 10 top breweries in the United States brewed up over one and a half billion barrels' If that is true, and you take the population of the United States at 220 million the way I figure it - each man, woman and child drank 7 and a half barrels of beer that year.
