To sign up and for further information, contact Barbara at 2235. Camp for Junior High held Camp. Pinecliff is an Interdenominational Christian Camp for young people, and Junior High Camp will he held July 27 thru Aug. 1. The cost for the camp is $37.50 and for further information or to register, contact the Post Chapel Office at 2431. Free Genealogy class given A free Genealogy Class will be offered to any interested Dugway residents starting 30 July at 7 p.m. The class will be held in the LDS Seminary building on 5th Street,,across from the high school. Wine and cheese tasting party There will lie a free wine and cheese tasting party at the Dugway Recreation Center July 30, 1980 at 7 p.m. No one under 18 years of age will be allowed to the party. . Clown and Bicycle competition Boys and girls interested in competing in the clown or bicycle categories in the Dugway Days parade, should contact Reeta Young at 2333, or 3 to register, or receive further information about, the parade. The; judging for the parade will take place on the east side playground on East Knight. Clowns will be judged at 11 a.m. and bicycles at 11:15, prior to being in the parade at noon. 882-237- Arts and crafts show j There will be an arts and crafts display Thursday, July 31, during the Dugway Days celebration at the Recreation Center. Prizes will be given away every hour and ribbons for crafts and displays awarded. Participation is encouraged and if you have an extra display table to bring, it would be appreciated as there is a shortage of display tables. Starting Wednesday, July 30, Dugway Days 1980 three-daprogram of merriment, games, booths, a race, rodeo, variety show, good food, dancing and much more, as Dugway puts cm its version of "town fair. The festivities start out Wednesday, with a marathon 5000 meter race at 7 p.m. The close to three mile run will be divided into six age groups with prizes awarded to top finishers in each of the. categories. ON THURSDAY, the action begins at noon, with a parade, featuring floats, the train from the Ogden Defense Depot, clowns, and decorated bicycles. Both the clown costumes and the decorated bicycles will be judged and prizes awarded for the best in each category. The booths will open up around 12:30 p.m, offering such items as root beer, scones, hot dogs, soft drinks, watermelon, a bake sale, beer, a fish pond, dunking booth, fingernail painting, as well as balloons. Cahs will not be accepted at these booths, only the tickets that can be purcahsed from a centralized booth and they will be good for the day of the fair only. The tickets, can be used to purchase any or all of the goodies available at the booths. The tickets are available in denominations of 54, 104, 254, 504 and $1 at the centralized exchange booth. In addition to thebooths there are displays scheduled to be presented by Material Test, a Boeing Cruise Missile, and a craft show. There will be pony rides available, as well as the fire engine, the Ogden train, with puppet shows, 4-- 6 times during the day. AT 1 P.M. the bar opens at the Community Club, and at 1:30 the Variety Show, featuring Eugene Jelesnik, will feature an illusionist, juggler, and country western singer, as well as the Knuteson Brothers singing group. There will be repelling from a helicopter, as well as static equipment displays available for public view. The pet show starts at 2 p.m. and at 3 p.m. the rodeo starts at the Skull Valley Riding Club Stables in Fries Park, where beer and soft drinks will also be available for purchase, during the rodeo. TO ASSIST in the registration of military dependents in overseas locations which are not near a U.S. Embassy or Consulate, DOD officials say commanders may provide help to state department officials in the form 'of personnel and facilities. However, defense officials stress that DOD is not conducting the registration, but merely helping the state department. Reserve ana National Guard personnel who are engaged in active duty for training (ADT) during the registration period, must sign up at any post office within 30 days after completing the training, say DOD ed, If you bought a Huffy bicycle at the PX, it could be hazardous to your health. According to AAFES officials, some of the Huffy bicycles have an improper master link in the drive chain. The master link could separate causing the rider to fall, lose control' or lose braking power on bikes with coaster brakes. The affected bikes were manufactured between April 15 and May 16, and have a code number beginbening with the letter C followed by five numbers tween 81060 and81360.
