This year the pool will be heated to a warm 70 degrees and will cost $7.50 per person for a season pass or $1 per person per day. As you can see, the season pass is by far the better buy. One of the things that will determine how long the pool will be open is the availability of lifeguards. If you are a Red Cross certified lifeguard, and would like to work at the pool this summer, contact the Civilian Personnel Office as soon as possible. As of Wednesday, there were three openings left for qualified lifeguards. After consolidation at RMA, the sets will be destroyed THE relocation of these identification sets, called Operation SETCON II, is the second phase of a program which began in January 1978. That first Phase (SETCON I) involved the movement and destruc-tio- n of 1,700 sets. SETCON I was accomplished without incident and proved that the procedures that will be duplicated during SETCON II are both safe and effective. This move will complete DODs program of consolidation and destruction at RMA ofall such Chemical ID sets in the DOD inventory. A MAJOR benefit to DOD will be the ultimate $37.8 million savings in disposal costs alone realized by utilizing the facilities already at RMA. The assorted sets contain 17 different diluted chemical agents and simulants in small ampules or s bottles. The amount varies from as little as .07 as much as different to five of (fl. oz.) agents 100l5 fLoz. of a single agent. The agents are absorbed in charcoal or plastic pellets inside the. ampules or bottles. As with any move of chemical agents strict safety, security and environmental protection measures are being adhered to during SETCON II.
