She said that this may be our community, but it is a fragmented community. I asked her what she meant. She said Dugway is divided in several ways. You have the military and the civilians, officers and enlisted, permanent party and transient people. The community is split by religion: the Mormons at Fries Park Chapel, and the Protestant and Catholic at the Post Chapel. There are some waiting wives who find it hard to fit into the community. THE APOSTLE PAUL lived in a divided world of Romans, Jews, Creeks, slaves and Gentiles, lie wrote in a letter to the church at Ephesus, For He is our peace, whos has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility. Paul wriite and witnessed the fact that Christ unites us as one family. He has broken down the walls that divide us. I am concerned about the walls that separate us here at Dugway. Part of my task as a counselor is to teat down walls between hudiand and wife, or parents and children. MY TASK AS A Chaplain is to present Jesus Christ as the greatest of them all Paul said, and I believe. What is the wall that separates me from you? What is the wall that separates me from my wife and children? Where are the walls that keep our community fragmented? When Christ enters one's life, the wall of selfishness, prejudice and hostility diminishes and hatred is replaced by love. When Christ Ixjcomes the head of a family, walls disintegrate and bridges of love, hope, faith instill new life wall-break- Without THE PERMANENT Chaplains corner not walls getting out from under." Most of them will emerge with a dean slate. However, there are certain kinds of obligations that bankruptcy does not touch. The most important are: 1) Taxes less than three years old. This includes taxes owed to federal, state, or local governments. 2) Debts based on family obligations. This includes alimony and child support. 30-ve- ar Scalloped embroidery trim Back cocktail hem award 30-ye- Flick timetable HITLER: THE LAST 1 hr. 46 min. Sept. 26 LITTLE LAURA AND BIG JOHN 1 3) Debts based on a written false financial statement. Suppose, for example, that in obtaining a personal loan you deceived the lender by purposely understating your liabilities. Under these circumstances, you would ordinarily remain liable for the loan even after going through bankruptcy. 4) Debts based on wilful and malicious injury inflicted on persons or property. Usually this involves liability for causing an automobile accident. Thus: A drunken driver, travelling at high speed on a rainy night, swerved across the double line and smashed into an oncoming car. Held liable afterward in damages,, he sought refuge in bankruptcy. But a court said bankruptcy did not wipe out this debt, because his driving was not just negligent but wilful and malicious. Non-aut- o injuries may also be considered wilful and malicious. In another case, a man allowed his vicious bulldog to run free even after it had bitten three pedestrians. When a fourth victim went to court and won a sizeable verdict, the dogs owner tried to escape through bankruptcy. But again, a court held him still liable. The judge said bankruptcy laws were meant to protect the hapless debtor, not the malicious wrongdoer. hr. 30 min.
