All three captured gold medals. Major Wigger, from the U.S. Army Marksmanship Training Unit at Ft Benning, Ga., was the gold-medwinner in the free rifle competition. Private Williams, from Ft Myer, Va., captured the gold in archery. Lieutenant Writer, of Clarendon Hills, 111., was first in the three position smallbore rifle match.
