Youth Audience Program ry A o PTA Councils Sponsor By VIRGINIA ANDERSON Deseret News PTA Editor The North and the South Elementary Councils of PTA are locally sponsoring the Youth Audience Program, a Ford Foundation project. Six live concerts will be presented to all the fourth and fifth grade students within the Salt Lake City district sometime between January and the close of school. All musicians appearing in the concerts will be professional people and union members. They will give musical background to the students by explaining different instruments, type of music, lives of composers as well as playing numbers. Vernon J. LeeMaster, superintendent of music, Salt Lake Board of Education, must approve all the music to be presented the students ln this initial cultural program series. Mr. LeeMaster will work closely with the two city councils in carrying out this Youth Audience Program. A Fortier Brigham Young University students, Miss Helen Lundskog and Darrell R.
