Show sudden death shortly after six this morning a lamentable occurrence took place in the filth Fifth ward of this thi s city a young man thomas wm stephenson being stricken with death he had bad a fire in one room and then went outside for some wood with which to start a fire in an adjoining toom about ten minute had elapsed when his wife mrs alice stephenson looked out of ithe window and saw him lying stretched etched out on his back on th the ground she ran to him and made a vain effort to arouse him from what she thought was a baintin fainting fain tin spell she next called in some neighbors and her ibus band was taken into the house bouse and wr benedict summoned the latter should do nothing however as it was evident that the spark of life had lied fled when mrs stephenson first saw her prostrate the body was carefully examined but no bruises could be found there was not the slightest evidence of suffering or of any struggle gele he had apparently dropped and expired without making any further movement the physician gavert gave U as his opinion the cause of the sudden demise was with either the heart or the brain brother stephenson was 29 years ears of a age 9 e and bore an excellent character 1 he le was a son in law to counselor jesse west of the sixth hie he w was as the very picture of health and had made no complaint ot suffering of any kind A short time lime ago ms bis shoulder was dislocated in handling a refractory mule at the street car stables where he was employed once since then 0 he e was raising his arm when the shoulder was again thrown out of its place causing him to taint faint and it was supposed at first that a similar occurrence had bad taken place lie he was born in provo prova in 1858 and his parents who now reside at nepal juab con county t nave have been notified of his death ile he eaves a wife aud and one child FROM AVS DAILY NOV 5 sudden death brother domzal adamson of south cottonwood died at his home on the ad dinst qui quits e suddenly sudden Jy and without warning to his family he had complained of feeling somewhat unwell but it was not thought that anything serious threatened him he was the son of william and agnes adamson and was born december jtb 1824 in barony parish scotland he was baptized in 1843 crossed the plains lains in 1848 and was a faita faithful ful lat fe ter r day saint the funeral will take lake place at the south cottonwood meet ing house sunday at 2 P pm in |
