Show DAVIS REFLEX JOURNAL, JULY 10, 1985 Kiku Kudo Dies At 84 Mrs. Kiku Kudo, 84, oF323l S. W., Syracuse, died Friday, June 28, 1985 at the Weber Memorial Hospital in Roy of a heart condition. KK)0 SHE WAS born May 2, Morioka Jwate-Ke- 1901 Japan, n, in a daughter of Zeneimon and Fumi Akihama Akihama. She married Kingoro (Kanemil) Kudo on May 5, 1920 in Tokyo, Japan. He died Oct. 20, 1928. member of the Hiroshima Kenjin-Kaand the Sansei Keiyu-Kai- . i SURVIVING are one daughter, Mrs. Masaru (Kiyoko) Yamada, Syracuse; two grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ito Itow, Tokyo, Japan. Funeral services w ere held at the Ogden Buddhist Church, with Rev. Nobuo Miyaji officiating. PIANIST at the service, Haruye of the Endo; Kannsho-Ringingong and Sutra chanting before the casket. Rev. She was a member of the Ogden Buddhist Church and the Ogden Buddhist Fujin Kai. He had been in the National Junior j ,, Honor Society and last term had received a 4.0 grade average. He was on the high honor roll for citizenship, had received the presidential academic fitness award, and was in the Usher Club. He was a member of the Syracuse 6th LDS Ward, where he was serving as the Teachers quorum president. He had received his Eagle Scout award; served as Deacon quorum president; active as a home teacher, and hd received On My Honor LDS Scouting award for young men. SURVIVING are his parents of Syracuse, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray C. Mills, Murray; Mrs. Hazel Barber, Syracuse; two brothers and three sisters. He said the remainder of the money will probably come from a small contribution from each band member. r BAND DIRECTOR Paul Kapp called the event a surprising success, adding that more than $8600 was raised toward a goal of $10,800 needed for 100 new uniforms. We did better than we thought we might. It was a great community project and got good support from the citizens. I think it was a good project for both sides of the auction--w- e all got something out of it, he stated. THE LARGEST items auctioned were a grand piano for $4200 and a new automobile for $6100. A speed boat was donated for the auction, but not sold when the starting price couldnt be reached.
