HE WAS an active member of the Layton 18th LDS Ward, where he had served in the Sunday School, YMMIA and was a first counselor in the bishopric. He served as secretary to the aronic priesthood and was leader of the high pi iest group. He had also been one of the Seven Presidents of the Quorum of Seventies and w as most recently supervisor in the extraction program. Surviving are his widow of Layton, one son. Allied George Woodland III, C'hatsworth, Calif.; three grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Alfred George Woodland II, 78, of 58 Ellison. Layton, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 1985 home of a heart attack.' at his HE WAS born July 22, 1906, in Richmond, Utah, a son of Alfred George and Crysta Philinda Burnham Woodland. He married Olive Marie Clark on April 18, 1930, in the Logan LDS Temple. HE HAD lived in Richmond for a year and Farnum, Ida. for six years. He had also lived in Brigham City for 15 years and in Layton for 43 years. He graduated from the Central School in Brigham City and was a graduate of Box Elder High School. He attended the University of Utah. HE HAD been manager of Safeway Stores for 13 years and was employed at Hill Air Force Base as an engineer inspector, prior to his retirement. Steven Flint and Jeff Flint. HE WAS a lifelong resident of Layton. He attended the Dawson Hollow School in Layton. He worked as plant supennten-den- t at the Woods Cross Canneiy for 30 years. He also woiked at the Layton Sugar Factory and foi I.as-to- n Realty. HE WAS a member of the Layton LDS 3rd Ward wheic he had served as High Priest group leader and ward cleik. He served two two-yea- r missions at the Ogden Genealogical Library and was an active temple worker. He was a member of the Sons of Utah Pionners and had seived on the Kays Creek Water Irrigation Board of Directors. Also surviving are two brothers and one sister, J. Ervin Wall, Robert F. Wall, and Nora Wall Williams, all of Layton. HE WAS preceded in death by two sons and a brother. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Cherry Lane Chapel with Bishop Wayne Wall of the Layton 3rd Ward officiating. Interment was in the Kaysville City Cemetery. She attended Davis County Schools. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. HE HAD worked at Hill Air Force Base for 25 years as an aircraft mechanic. He was reared and educated in Mount Pleasant. He had lived in Kaysville and lived in Layton the past 28 years. HE ATTENDED Snow College wheie he studied aircraft mechanics. He was a member of the Layton LDS I st Ward and had served as an elder. HE WAS a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force in Italy and North Africa. Surviving are his widow of Layton: three sons and three daughters, Loyd M. Seely, Layton: Stan L. Seely, Bountiful; Fail W. Seely, Woods Cross; Mrs. Michael (Susan) O'Keefe, Eden; Mrs. Blaine D.(Merrilyn) Gledhill, Ogden; Kathryn Seely, Layton; Wall Street Journal. FOR MANY years he worked for Smith Canning Co., in Clearfield and later worked for the Davis County School District He had lived his entire life in Kaysville and was a member of the Kaysville LDS 1st Ward. HE WAS active in sports and was a champion bowler. For several years he bowled for the Smith Canning Co. Surviving are his widow- of Kaysville, and one daughter. Barbara Ann Barnes, Kaysville. FUNERAL services were Saturday at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary with Bishop Dennis Hill officiating. SHE WAS raised in West Layton and lived in Syracuse after her marriage. She was an active member of the Syracuse 3rd LDS Ward.
