Show SEPTEMBER 9, 1986 obituary Teachers group names officers Paul Lewis Blunt Paul Lewis Blunt, 78, of 497 S. 725 L., Layton, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 1986 while on vacation in Michigan, of heart failure. Me was born Feb. 19, 1908 in Durand, Mich., a son of Ernist Ihomas and Florence June Lewis Blunt. Me married Genevieve Albaugh Feb. 14, 1934 in Elsie, Mich. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died July I, 1984. Me was a member of the LDS Church. Me had lived in Michigan until 1944. where he worked at Barley store in Elsie. He had lived in Layton the past 42 years. Me graduated from Elsie High School. Elsie, Mich., and had woiked at the Naval Supply Depot and Morton Thiokol. Me had served in the inactive Naval Reserves. Surviving are four daughters, Baula Williams, Carolee Byrum, Debra Peska, all of Layton; Sabra Baxter, Seattle. Wash.; 26 grandd re n s' h and 25 n. great-giandchildre- Also surviving is one brother, Robert Blunt, Elsie, Mich. He was preceded in death by two grandsons. Services were held Sept. 2 at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary with Bishop Robert Winegar officiating. Family prayer was given by Preston Lloyd, prelude music, musical recording; In the Garden" and How Great Thou Art by Orthel- - Pi Chapter, a Davis County division of Delta Kappa Gamma, an honorary teachers society announces their officers for the next two years. At a meeting held at the Mansion House in Ogden, outgoing presi- dent, Joyce Marberry, presented the new officers for the next two years. Leading the group as president will be Bonnie Olsen. Her first vice president will be Margie Thompson and second vice president will be Ann Miller. Esther Parks is recording secretary and Martha Brotherson is corresponding secretary. Pat Jones will continue as treasurer of the teachers organization. Parliamentarian is Karen Harder. Pallbearers were Layne Williams, Paul Williams, Tom Williams, Cal Williams, Wes Williams, Clay Williams, Elmer By rum and Chris Byrum. Lawrence Edward Holt, 87, of and Annie Thurgood Holt. He married Verna Caroline Clark Sept. 20, 1922 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died May 31. 1981. He owned and operated a farm in West Point where he lived most of his life. He served as town board president and Mayor of West Point for 24 years. He served as director and president of the Clearfield Irrigation Co. and as director of the Layton Sugar Beet Growers Association. He was a director and member of the North Davis Sewer board, and was instrumental in planning and building the sewer plant. He worked at the Naval Supply Depot and Hill Air Force Base for 20 years. He was educated in Davis County and attended Utah State Agriculture College at Logan. He was a member of the West Point 4th LDS Ward and was a High Priest and home teacher. Surviving are one daughter and one son, Mrs. Glen W. (Lois) Flint, West Point; John W. Holt, Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren and 18 Also surviving are one brother and six sisters, LaMar T. They came home via Idaho and went into West Yellowstone where they enjoyed going to dinner and attending the Playhouse there.
