Show JUNE 17, 1986 (C HI JRCH Qritiiary LDS Missionaries Dale W. Gardiner Funeral services for Dale W. Gardiner were, held June 7 at the 1st Ward with Bishop Clearfield John B. Ross officiating. He died June 4, 1986. Family prayer was by Robert Flinders; prelude, lone Bennion; O My Father by Janet Ostler; invocation, John M. Gardiner; remarks, Bishop John B. Ross; Still, speaker, David Monson; Still With Thee by Clearfield 1st Chandler; The Lords Prayer by ward choir; benediction, Bruce Gardiner. Dedication of the grave was by Sid Sly with interment in the field City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stephen Flinders, Scott Flinders, Lance Flinders, Bryan Hart, Nathan Gardiner and Dustin E. Smith. Honorary pallbearers were David Smith, Jared Dunnohew and Jerrod Ward Choir; speaker, Foster Florence Florence Stromberg Hess, 61, of N. Main, Farmington, 1(X)7 died Wednesday, June 4, 1986 in Ogden of a stroke. She was born April 19, 1925 in Evanston, Wyo., a daughter of William G. and Myrtle Emeline Porter Stromberg. She married Clyde Lamar Hess June II, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She had lived in the Porterville and Morgan areas for 16 years, and in Farmington for 45 years. She graduated from Morgan High School. She was a member of the Farmington 10th Ward where she had served as secretary for the YWMIA, Primary and was a vist-in- g teacher. She also had been the correspondent for the ward. She had worked at Miller Floral in Farmington for many years. Surviving are her husband of Farmington, four sons, Michael Claude Hess, Clearfield; Rodney Lynn Hess, Cloyd William Hess and Jon Ivan Hess, all of Farming-ton- ; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchil- S. Hess Lawrence and Isabell Spencer Christensen. She was married and then later divorced. She had been a licensed practical nurse at Utah Valley Hospital and at Hill Air Force Base. She was reared in Escalante and had lived in Provo and Layton. She had lived in Kaysville for the past 10 years. She graduated from high school in Escalante. She attended Utah Technical College in Provo where she received her nursing license. She was a member of the Kaysville 15th Ward where she had taught in the Primary, YWMIA and Sunday School. She was talented at handiwork and sewing. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Sherill Alvey and Mrs. Gene (Beverly) Garcia, both of Layton; eight grandchildren and eight Also surviving are eight brothers and one sister, Lawrence Christensen, Layton; Samuel Christensen, Clearfield; Rolin Christensen, Elder Bradley R. Iverson, son of Robert and Barbara Iverson, 492 North Flint Street, Kaysville, has returned after serving 25 months in the Brazil Brasilia Mission. He will report his mission Sunday, June 22, at 9 a.m. at the 6th Ward Sacrament Meeting, 198 West Center Street, Kaysville. Hartley, son of Mrs. Susan B. Hartley of 285 E. 200 N., Kaysville and Blaine Hartley of Taylorsville, will be reporting on his mission Sunday, June 22 at 10:50 a.m. in the Kaysville 8th Ward Sacrament meeting at the Rock Chapel at 25 S. 200 E. Elder Hartley has served in the Alabama, Birmingham Mission for 21 months. He served as district and zone leader and also for four months as assistant to Pres. Hall. City. She was preceded in death by one brother. Services were held June 7 at the Lindqusits Kaysville Mortuary with Bishop Boyd R. Hansen of the Kaysville 15th Ward officiating. Family prayer was by Loynel C. Christensen; prelude, Elaine Beckstrand; Each Life That Touches Ours for Good by Vicki Jessen accompanied by Janice Barnes; invocation, Lawrence Christensen; remarks, Bishop Boyd R. Hansen; speakers, Louis G. Christensen and Ron Taylor; piano solo, The Lord's Prayer by Elaine Beckstrand. Dedication of the grave was by Samuel R. Christensen with interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lawrence Christensen, Samuel Christensen, Rolin Christensen, Mohr Christensen, Norman Christensen, Loynel Christensen, 'Nick Christensen and Louis Christensen. Funeral directors, Kaysville Lindquists mortuary. Arthur and Mary Ellen France Haight. She married George Willard Moss of Woods Cross on April 20, 1910 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1958. She attended North Farmington School, graduated from Kaysville Academy and Brigham Young College at Logan with a degree in music. She taught piano throughout Davis County, She was a member of the LDS Church and was active as an organist in the Sunday School. She also taught Primary and was a Relief Society visiting teacher. Surviving are two sons, Robert H. Moss, Sacramento, Calif.; Hal W. Moss, Eagle, Ida. ; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Mary) Jensen, Roy; Mrs. Louise Toothman, Carmichael, Calif.; Mrs. E.A. (June) Granquist, Sacramento, Calif.; 19 46 greatggrandchildren, randchildren and two She was preceded in death by three sons. Services were held Thursday in the Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary with interment in the Farming-to- n City Cemetery. College of Music, Boston, Mass., for the past year. After his mission he plans to return to Berklee and earn a B.A. majoring in film scoring and performance. Paul Johnson Fletcher, 71, of 78 Beacon, Layton, died Monday, June 9, 1986 at his home of a myocardinal infarction. He was born Nov. 6, 1914 in Salt Lake City, a son of Francis Eugene and Edith Augusta Johnson Fletcher. He married Naone Huntsman Aug. 10, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was retired from Hill Air Force Base after 20 years of service as a electronic technician. He had also worked at the Civilian Conservation Corps in Southern Utah after graduation from high school. He had lived in Ferron, Utah for 12 years, and had also lived in Salt Lake City, Richland, Wash. , and in Los Angeles, Calif. He had resided in Layton since 1958. He graduated from East High School. ELDER HILL Elder Scott Hill recently returned from the Seoul, Korea Mission. He is the son of Bishop and Mrs. Dennis Hill of 95 S. 300 W., Band. He is currently a member of the Mormon Youth Symphony and attended BYU. Kyle is an Eagle Scout and has held numerous offices in Priesthood and scouting. An open house will follow his missionary farewell at 741 E. 350 N. He will enter the Mission Training Center July 9.
