The Layto-mte- s Hew to Anchorage. They did a lot of sightseeing in Alaska. Mr. Egbert enjoyed deep sea fishing in Homer, one of the best fishing poits in Alaska. They returned iiome with a good supply of salmon and halibut. Several second year Spanish students who completed the 9th grade STEVEN O. HADF1ELD Gains M.S. In Engineering Steven O. Hadfield of 228 E. 600 N., Kaysville received his master of electrical engineering. He received his bachelor of science elec-t- i ical engineering from the University of Utah in 1978. HE IS the son of Delbert W. Hadfield of 263 E. 500 N., Kaysvil- le. He married Denise Little and they are parents of four children. Steven graduated from Davis High School in 1972. He was an officer and member of Eta Kappa Knu and member of IEEE. HE IS presently employed by Evans and Sutherland Computer Corporation System Design Engineer. EVAN R. GUBLER' Opens New Practice LAYTON - Evan R. Gubler, a Santa Clara, Washington County native, has set up veterinary prac-- tice in north Davis County. HE GAINED appreciation and knowledge of animals growing up on a farm there, he says. He attended Dixie College in St. George and filled an LDS mission to Australia in 1972 and then resumed attendance at Dixie College, earning an associate arts degree there. While there he met Myrta Spendlove of Virgin, Utah and they were married in Decem- ber, 1974. He later attended Utah State University to complete ry work. While attending USU, he worked for the veterinary science department in nutrition and cancer research and earned a bachelor of science degree in biology. FOLLOWING that, Dr. Gubler attended the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, the fall of 1980 and received the degree of DVM in May, 1984. - He and his wife, have five children, Emily, Jamie, Kelli, Kyle and Jacob. WE HAVE enjoyed our education, but now look forward to being of service to the community and feel that we will enjoy living in Layton, working at the Layton Veterinaiy Hospital and the Clearfield Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Gubler says. School have returned home after participating in a special summer study tour in Mexico. Those students who went on the tour included Dana Dean, Mary Morgan, Kelli Nelson, RaDon Gatherum, Wendy Dahl and Lori Gallegos. There were 57 students from many North Davis and Northern Utah communities in the group. The first stop was Mexico City. The students attended the Ballet Folklorico, the pyramids of the sun and the boon and the Bisiclica of Guadalupe. Homemakers Set Meet In Guadalajara, the young people stayed with Mexican families. They attended classes and visited market in the largest open-ai- r Mexico. The final stop before returning home from the 11 day study tour was Mazatlan. -- The Davis Homemakers Chapter of Utah Homemakers is announcing that its next meeting will be held on Monday, June 25 at 10 a.m. THE GROUP will tour the Marmalade District on Capital Hill in Salt Lake City. Following the tour the group will meet at the Red Flame in Bountiful for lunch.
