ALLOWING FOR BOARD OF COUNTY REGISTRATION COMMISSIONERS DOGS ON OF AN RATHER THAN A CALENDAR YEAR BASIS The Board of Coun- ty Commissioners of Davis County ordains as folldws: Section 1. Amendment. Ordinance number 282, enacted December 16, 1976 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2. Section 3 or Ordinance 282 is hereby specifically amended to read as lows: fol- It shall be unlawful for any person to own, keep, harbor or maintain a dog or dogs over the age of four months with- out registering and obtaining a license for such dog or dogs from the County license director or the dog tax collector. Every dog registered under this ordinance and every license issued under this ordinance in respect to the first registration of the dog in Davis County shall continue in effect for a period of twelve months beginning with the first day of the calendar month and shall not expire until the last day of the month and the year following in which the dog is first registered or licensed. All dogs brought in to Davis County after the effective date of this ordinance and all dogs which reach the age of four months after the effective date of this ordinance, shall require registering and licensing within thirty (30) days after they enter Davis County or within thirty (30) days after having reached the age of four months. The annual fee for all dog licenses shall be five dollars ($5.00) for spayed and neutered dogs and ten dollars ($10.00) for all other dogs. Miss Lisa Gerber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gerber is visiting for three weeks in Iowa City, Iowa with her two sisters. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Parrish attended the funeral service of a cousin, John A. Parrish of Centerville held in Bountiful on Friday, June d helmets along to make the trip a bit more pleasant. They had all types of weather to travel in but managed well to adjust to the circumstances. After the convention they were guests of military friends in El Mott and Waco, Tex. They traveled a different route on their return home and found the weather beautiful, except in Colorado where they hit snow in June. Mr. and Mrs. John Wendell Homer entertained at a family dinner on Sunday, June 24 for their family in honor of their daughter Mary Ann Homer who is leaving to serve an LDS France, Paris mission. Members on hand for the special event were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kessler and family of Phoenix, Ariz., and a friend Debbie Black Alsup; Mr. and Mrs. John Homer and family of Indianpolis, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Potter and six children, Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie son-in-la- w their fifth child. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Parrish recently traveled to Coral ville, Iowa where they spent three weeks with their daughter Ginny Parrish. They also spent time in Northern Nebraska sightseeing and other places of interest en route. Mr. and Mrs. Laddie Timothy entertained at a father's day dinner on Sunday for all of their children. Out of state guests were Mr. and Mrs. Brad Timothy and family of Tucson, Ariz. From Chittenden, Vermont, comes word of the arrival of a son born May to Dr. and Mrs. Tom Fox. Mrs. Fox is the former Mary Jane Bowring of Kaysville. He weighed in at 8 lb. 7 oz. and 1 was named Nicholas Bowring Fox. At home are Justin, Samuel, Trevor and Sheree. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bowring, Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Fox of Salt Lake City. A houseguest for one week of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Umpleby was Martha Mansell of Houston, Tex. n Professor and Mrs. Wilford of Provo were guests on Fathers Day of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Linn Sandall. Parents of their first child, a daughter, Mirian, are Mr. and Mrs. Mark Paulsen of Bountiful. The new mother is the former Leanne Carter of Kaysville. They left Thursday and drove to Davis, Calif, where they were guests of their sister Hazel Hartman and all drove on to Half Moon Bay to be with their other sister Marilyn Marilyn and Carilyn are twins. The sixth sister, Margaret Ruth White of Dallas, Tex. is presently Hol-lo- 15. Bill and Peggy Morrison enjoyed a motorcycle camping trip covering 3 ,000 miles. They took a motorcycle trailer, sleeping bags, jack- Colonel Lewis and wife Dorothy Edwards and family. They spent the two weeks on the island of Oahu sightseeing and attending special events as guests of Col. and Mrs. Lewis. Col. Lewis is commander and chief of the U.S. Army Hospital on the island. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stenquist and daughter Julie spent a week in Hawaii as guests of their son and family, Captain and Mrs. David Stenquist and son Brian David. They were on hand for the blessing and naming of their new grandson Brian David and enjoyed sightseeing and the places of interest on the island of Oahu. David just received his Captains rating while they were there. Mrs. Marcia Mansell entertained the Kaysville Bridge Club at her home Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Gailey and Mr. their daughter and and Mrs. Jeff Wood and their other granddaughter Alisha Williams enCaribbean joyed a two-wee- k Cruise. En route home they spent time in California at Disneyland and Southern California area. Mrs. Alice Gerber flew to Iowa ts 8 lb. oz. and was named Gary Lynn. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sabin, Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. Max Ingles of Salt Lake 15 Houseguests last week of Rell and Kay Rives were her brother and his wife, Floyd and Martha Whetton of Tucson, Ariz. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Bourne, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Larkins enjoyed an eight day cruise to Mexico. They boarded the ship Tropicana" in Los Angeles, Calif, and the cruise took them to Porta Vallarta and Coba San Lucas, Mexico. Kimberly Butterfield, daughter of Roger and Sandy Butterfield recently returned home from Edison, .New Jersey where she has been employed as a nanny for Zvi Weiss family for the past seven months. Kimberly had the opportunity to visit in New York City as well as Washington, D.C. She also spent time at the Middlesex College in the evenings at various activities. Miss Sandi Rasband entered the Mission Training Center in Provo on May 24. She is a member of the Kaysville 17th Ward and will be serving her mission to the France, Paris mission. Mark graduated this spring from BYU with his degree in computer science. Mr. and Mrs. Joe F. Preece, Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sickinger, Clearfield and granddaughter Jamie Wiggnall were guests Saturday at a family birthday dinner at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Terry J. Preece in honor of their daughter Jenekahs 4th birthday anniversary. Prior to the family dinner, Mrs. Terry Preece entertained at a birthday party for 16 friends of Jenekahs who came to celebrate the occasion with her. Kelly Nielson, son of Merritt and Wanda Nielson graduated from the University of Utah with his bachelors degree in urgan planting. He will continue his stu- dies at the University in graduate school. Mr. and Mrs. John Ross of Clearfield also attended their graduation exercises on Saturday. Melanie Butterfield received her associate degree from Weber State College on June 8. Her parents , Mr. and Mrs. Roger Butterfield attended the graduation exercises. Stacey Butterfield entertained at a birthday party at her home in . honor of her 15th birthday. Twelve guests attended. Major and Mrs. Lynn Beens and children Becky, Melissa and Bryan of Spokane, Wash, are being trans- ferred to Rapid City, South Dako- ta. Major Beens has been stationed at Fairchild AFB in Spokane the past several years. The children will be visiting with both of their grandparents for three weeks while their parents are making the move. They will be guests of Mr. and Mrs. Van Flint and Mrs. Vivian Beens. Mr. and Mrs. F. Burton Winters drove to Idaho Falls, Ida. where they visited with his parents, Pres, and Mrs. E. Francis Winters. His father has been quite ill.
