THE INDEPENDENCE Day parade starts at 1 p.m. at Davis High School, This years parade will follow the traditional route from the high school down Main Street to 1st East, then north on 1st East to 1st North. The parade turns east at 1st North and heads up to 2nd East and then south on 2nd East and back to the high school. Jaycee parade chairman, Brian is searching for Marston, 544-563- 1, additional entries for the 1984 celebration. Brian selected I Love America as the theme for the 4th of July parade. THERE IS no entry fee and awards will be presented for the best entries in each category -- commercial, marching, etc. The Jaycees do not require registration prior to the 4th of July. However, all entries should register in the east parking lot to pick up their number and fill out an information card for the announcer. The Kaysville Jaycees consistently construct an award winning float for the Miss Kaysville-Frui- t Heights Royalty. Also, the Kays ville Jaycee Women assist with the decorations, trim and the lettering. DOUG CHESLEY, Jaycee Float chairman, has entered the Miss Heights float in the Clearfield, Layton and Kaysville 4th of July parades. The Jaycees pay $30 to a scout troop or other similar organization to clean the high school grounds on the morning of July 5th. This is an opportunity for scouts to perform community service by picking up litter and earn $30 for their troop. 5 for Call Richard Diehl, more information.
