Haight Mrs. Edna Louise Brassfield Shields Haight, 82, of 151 W. 700 N., Clearfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 1985 in a Clearfield nursing home of causes incident to age. Kenneth F. Halls 1 for several years. He brought the first pickup campers into Utah and had 58 dealers throughout the Intermountain West. He had the first indoor show loom for RV vehicles and built one of the largest RV and mobile home businesses in Utah, Ken Halls KamperCity. He served as a consultant to the Ford Motor Co. in the development of the Ford camper special pickup. HE WAS one of the planners and SHE WAS born April 8, 1902, in Boise, Ida., a daughter of John and Sarah Stewart Brassfield. She married Ward Allen Shields on Dec. 9, 1922 in Nampa, Ida. He died March 17, 1953. She married Lawrence Haight in 1958 in Utah. He died in August of 1978. SHE HAD been employed as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell Telephone in Idaho and later for Hill Air Force Base. She was reared and educated in Boise, Ida. and had lived in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Seattle, Wash., and Phoenix, Ariz. SHE WAS a membei of the Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Queen Esther Chapter No. 4, Order of E astern Star. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Raymond J. (Madelyn) Stack, Clearfield; one stepson, Fred Haight, Canada; one foster daughter, Maria McKenney, Roy; two grandchildren. SHE WAS preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were con- ducted Saturday in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel in Ogden with Barbara Whiteman, worthy matron of Queen Esther Chapter No. 4, Order of Eastern Star, officiating. Interment in Washington Heights Memorial Park in South Ogden. He had been assistant fire chief at the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot for 14 years and also a Layton City volunteer fireman and assistant chief. Kim Cranney arrived by plane from Berkeley, Calif, to visit a few days with his mother, Mrs. Jan Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Aldrich are at home after a six week stay at San Francisco, Calif, with his sister, Mrs. Bernice Zanco. Miss Fumiko Tomita of Kobe. Japan visited for 10 days with the Richard Swasey family before leaving to return to her home in Japan. She had previously spent a year in Utah with the Swaseys and also at BYU. Mrs. Barbara Iverson and her sister Mrs. Helen Barber flew to Hawaii where they enjoyed an eight day vacation trip to the islands of Oahu and Maui. Captain and Mrs. Brad Keck. Bryan and Cindy of Torrence. Calif, will be visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Roy Keck and family to attend the farewell of his brother Elder Andrew Keck w ho is leaving for the LDS Mission and also to welcome his other brother, Elder Steven Keck who hasjustreturned from serving in the New Mexico Albuquerque mission. Mrs. Lillian Ringer is happy ov er the recent honor given her son. Dr. Wayne B. Ringer of Logan who was honored by Gov. Matheson at a dinner meeting at the Marriott Hotel in Salt Lake City and presented an engraved plaque for his excellence in energy invocation foi Utah. Dr. Ringer is a professor at Utah State and formerly from Kaysville. Indiana-Indianapol- Cole, both of Layton; Annette Cole, Denver. Colo.; three grandchildren. ALSO surviving are four brothers and three sisters, William Cole. Ogden: Boyd Cole. Layton: Rulon Cole. Los Angeles. Calif.: Heckert and Reta Deerden, both of Riverdale. EVANS was born Oct. 12, Gridley, Butte, Calif., a son of James and Gertrude Ottenwalter Evans. He married Hazel Annalee Wood Eeb. 25. 1940 in Oroville, Butte, Calif. SURVIVING are his widow of Yuma, two sons and one daughter. KC Halls, Keith D. Halls, Mrs. Doyle (Barbara) Talbot, all of Layton; 15 grandchildren. Also surv i ving are his mother of Layton; two brothers and two sisters; Wayne Halls, Yuma. Ariz.; Lon Halls, Las Vegas. Nev.; Beth Russell, Ogden and Leigh Ann Kyle, Barstow, Calif. HE WAS preceded 1 1918 in Boat Club. IIE WAS born Aug. 25, 1920 in Vernal, a son of Percy E. and Nellie Elizabeth Jackson Cole. On April 6. 1946 he married lhelma Bybe in Salt Lake City. HE WAS a member of the Baptist Community Church. He served with the U.S. Acmv during World War II. Surviving are his widow of Layton: one son and two daughters. Quintin B. Cole and Regina Nel-d- a E. Layton Javcees and the Ogden Ashley Jackson Cole, 64, of 479 Spin lock, Layton, died Tuesday, Jan! 29. 1985 at the St. Benedicts Hospital in Ogden of cancer. McAllister. World War 11 having served with the U.S. Navy. After his service with the Navy, he moved back to Portola. where he was employed with the Western Pacific Railroad Co., as a locomotive engineer. He retired in 1975 and has since lived in Cave Junction. Ore.; later moc ng to Kaysville. HE WAS an active member of the Farmington 12th Ward, serving in many auxiliary organizations, his Iwst being a High Priest group leader in his ward. Surviving are his widow of Kaysville, three sons, James Warner Evans Jr., San Jose, Calif.; Richard Loran Evans, Centerville; Gary LeRoy Evans, Salt Lake City and 14 grandchildren.
