Show DAVIS REFLEX JOURNAL, JULY 5, 1984 Layton Hills Mall Hosts Quilt Show SOCIETY Layton Hills Mall will be hosting the Weber River Area Quilting as part of Competition, July its annual quilt show. Judging will take place Thursday, July 5 and all quilts will be displayed July 6 through Saturday, July 14. Wed In Temple 4, guests at a reception at the Kaysville South LDS Stake Center. The bride wore a full-leng- th gown of white organza with lace overlay featuring old fashioned styling. The high neckline and THIS COMPETITION is open to the public and winners will be eligible to take part in the Great West Fair 1984 Quilt Contest, which will be held in conjunction with the Festival of the American West, at Utah State Aug. July in Logan. University Quilting classes have been scheduled for Friday, July 6, Saturday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 11, in the center court of the mall. These classes are free to the public and offer a variety of techniques. Lego-mut- sleeves complimented ton the ensemble. Her bouffant skirt was enhanced with wide tiered lace chapel train fastened to the waist. Following the ceremony the newlyweds were honored at a wedding breakfast at the Lion House in Salt Lake City hosted by the bridegrooms parents. THAT EVENING they greeted Kaysville Jaycees Prepare Reunion Miss Kristin Phillips was maid of honor. Miss Lisa Malmarand Miss Mary Moyes were bridesmaids. They wore gowns of old fashion styling with white lace bodice and long pink skirts. They held bouquets of pink roses and carnations with white baby breath and burgundy ribbon streamers. Teresa Phillips and Andrea Phillips were the flower girls. ON JULY 6, six classes are scheduled. Claire Field, president of the Utah Quilt Guild will teach Color Me a Quilt at 10 a.m. Quilting with Modern Methods at a.m., Tie It or Quilt It at p.m. and No Quilt Quilts at 2 p.m. Ramona Web from Gardniers Quilt and Sew in Ogden will teach Traditional Quilting at 3 p.m. Boor-lengt- h and Eilene Clauson also from Gardniers will show Machine r i guest book. i BEST MAN duties were performed by Scott Bass. Gentile No. 7, west Regional Roller skating competitions held in Portland, Ore., representing Utah. Cyndie, 17, placed 3rd in world class figure skating and 3rd in sophomore ladies single competition while Angie, 9, took a 4th place in juvenile girls figures and a gold medal first in juvenile dance. Both will travel to national roller skating competition in Lincoln, Nebr., later this month. Theyre the daughters of Bruce and Linda Buckner and granddaughters of Earl and LaVeme Harris of Layton. The Kaysville Jaycees announce that there will be a reunion held at the Kaysville Bowery behind city hall on July 27 at 7:30 p.m. The reunion is being held to commemorate 40 years of community service to the city of Kaysville and the surrounding areas.
