She observed her 90th birthday anniversary with close friends and relatives calling on her through the day, at her home on West Gentile St. MRS. Talbot was bom July 29, 1886 in Bountiful, Utah. She was the daughter of Harlan Edward and Sarah Ann Stoker Simmons. Her parents moved to Layton, when she was a small child, and she has resided here since. She recalls the small school houses on Gentile St. one just north of the Richard A. Kidd residence in West Layton, where she first attended school, and later in the home that is now owned and oc grandchildren and SOME of her family members stay with her now the greater part of her time, is her eyesight because failing to a certain degree. LARKINS was born July 28, 1896 in West Point, the daughter of William and Elizabeth King Flinders. She was one of six children in that family. She attended the school in West Point. After their marriage they moved to Nevada where Mr. Kilfoyle was employed with the Ellison Ranch Co. She did the cooking for the ranchers. They were the parents of three children, two sons died at birth and their daughter Mrs. Faye Hollist who now resides at Biggs, California. Mr. Kilfoyle died in 1940. found much happiness together. a wonderful She kept a lovely home, yard and garden with beautiful flowers. Webster was born August 12, 1891 in Seraing, Belgium, a daughter of Mathieer Jand and Marie Antoinette Pocket Boerens. The family was converted to the LDS Church by the LDS missionaries serving in Belgium and emigrated to the United States in 1906 to Winter Quarters, Utah and later made their home in Hooper. December 6, 1916 she was married to Wilford H. Webster in the Salt Lake LDS temple and has resided in Kaysville since that time. Mrs. Webster has enjoyed her roll as a mother and homemaker. She is an excellent cook and a neat and particular homemaker having raised eight children. SHE HAS been active in many of the LDS Church organizations having served numerous years in the Relief Society. She has been a Relief Society visiting teacher for nearly 50 years and has been in charge of the quilting for the various wards in KaysON Nyssa, Oregon. Honored For Work In Cancer MYRTLE LARKINS in the ward. MRS. LARKINS has been quilting since she was nine years of age. The beautiful quilts she has completed are too numerous to count. At her home she has a quilt on the frames continually as a hobby and past time. Her quilting is an art and she is known throughout the county for her beautiful work. She not only does quilts, but all other types of handiwork and crocheted items. Mrs. Larkins is among the faithful Davis County citizens who enters her work in the annual county fair. She stated, everything she has ever entered has won her a first place prize. SHE TOOK care of her bedfast mother for six years. She said, she has always tried to help everyone who has ever needed something done. This in itself has been rewarding Mrs. Florence Garner of Rupert, Idaho. SHE ALSO grandchildren Dr. Wallace L. Chambers, a Granger chest and general surgeon who has long been active in efforts, has been named an honorary life member of the American anti-canc- Cancer Society Utah Division Board of Directors. A FORMER president of the Utah Division during Dr. Chambers served on the Divisions Board of Directors for 20 1969-197- has 18 and nine whom she is very proud of, in ad- dition to Gayle, Lyle, Gwen and Fay who really love and admire Myrtle. n Small World 0, years since 1956 until resigning earlier this year. Honorary membership is awarded by the Utah Division to volunteers who have given long and outstanding service to the program of cancer control. HOMER Franklin Rewis, 65, of 253 W. 650 N. in Clear- field died Friday at the Veterans hospital in Salt Lake Thursday at her home after an extended illness. She was bom Nov. 3, 1916, in Wilson Lane, a daughter of Joseph L. and Maryett Wite Davis. ON SEPT. 5, 1932 she married Pete Shulz in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Layton 15th ward and VERNON NICHOLLS and Margaret Hill. The invocation by Ramon Dean. Opening remarks by Bishop Newell Law followed by speaker Patriarch Paul Riding, was the next speaker. AN was medley Connie. G. Samuel followed as a given by Cloward. Raymond speaker. She was married to Samuel B. Stucki on March 27, 1917, in the St. George LDS temple. He died April 20, 1976. : Sgt. Jimmie Ray Ratliff, an Air Force enlisted man stationed at Hill Air Force Base drowned near Cemetery Point in Pineview Reservoir last Friday. SGT. Ratliff was swimming with a friend Friday afternoon when he drowned. His body was recovered at 7:05 p.m. and taken to McKay Dee Hospital. Sgt. Ratliff was 24 years old. He was born Feb. 25, 1952, in St. Louis, Mo. He was a son of James R. and Frances McCool Ratliff. HE WAS a sergeant with the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing stationed at Hill AFB. - Surviving are his father of Winfield, Mo. his mother Mrs. Frances Egler of Jennings, Mo.
