Show Rites Held For Alta Montgomery May 25 Rites For Carol I. Collett Visiting Teacher for a great number of years. She was also a member of the Sunbonnet Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers. SURVIVING are two sons and two daughters, Duane B. Montgomery, Roy; Robert H. She was a valiant and active member of the LDS Church, devoting limitless hours to the work. She filled many leadership positions in both ward and stake, and was equally Carole M. She belonged to the Lanterns Club, Kays Creek Writers Club, Kaysville Birth- day Club and the Rotarian CAROL IVINS COLLETT Carol Ivins Collett, 79, mother, grandmother and adopted grandmother to hundreds of children, passed away May 22, 1983 at her home. Ivins, Lund, Nev.; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Walker, Reno, SHE WAS born Sept. 3, 1903, in Lund, Nev., a daughter of William H. and Sarah Della Redd Ivins. She married Wells F. Collett on June 8, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Col. Collett died June 30, 1982. A son, Wells Ivins, also preceded her in Nev.; Mrs. Gray (Fawn) Robinson, Kanab. FUNERAL services will be held Wednesday, May 25 at 2 p.m. in the Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, Kaysville. Friends may call Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment in the death. SHE WAS a writer, a poet, an artist, seamstress, an avid genealogist with abilities in many other areas. Kaysville City Cemetery. On Sept. 25, 1929 she married Harland Montgomery, in Syracuse, with that marriage later solemnized in the Salt y Lake LDS Temple. Mr. died Oct. 19, 1973. Mong-tomer- MRS. MONTGOMERY spent her early life in Syracuse, and was educated in the Steed, niece; vocal solo, That Wonderful Mother of Mine by Mrs. Doris Cook. SPEAKERS included Dean J. Manning, Dale H. King and Bishop Blaine Thurgood. A vocal duet, Perfect Day, was rendered by Ken and Karma Cook, accompanied by Ken Cook. The benediction was by Lewis Briggs. Dedication of the grave was by Duane B. Montgomery with inter- ment in the West Point Cemetery. schools of Davis County. Since her marriage she has resided in West Point. An active member of the" LDS Church she has served in the Sunday School as a teacher, and in the Relief Society presidency and Primary. Mrs. Margaret Hill spent a week in California visiting with Talbot, Mrs. Roselyn Slade son-in-la- and Mrs. Carol Collett spent Saturday in Salt Lake City where they took the Historic Home Tour. Mel Ward and children spent Saturday in Riverside visiting with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ward. Jerry and Kay Jarvis announce the arrival of a daughter bom on May 10. Valley View Drive, died Monday, May 16, 1983 at her home of heart failure. SHE WAS born Aug. 31, 1910 in Layton, a daughter of Henry D. and Katie Parker Jaques. She married Ruben Miller in Ogden. They were later divorced. She married Raymond J. Smith in March of 1954 in Washington. SHE WAS reared in Layton.
