John Andrew Fryer was welcomed home by four older sisters. He was born Oct. 25 in Ogden. Grandparents are Mrs. Eva Fryer of Clearfield and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gilleland of Layton. David and Julie Moss greeted their baby brother. Benjamin Moss, home from the hospital. Benjamin who was bom Oct. 23, is the son of David L and Debora Harrison Moss. Grandparents are Lee and Ruth Moss of East Layton and Leon and Delores Harrison of Mountain Green. include Mrs. Lucille Moss of West Point, Mrs. Lily Harrison of Ogden and Charles and Flora Price of California. DFfilhlS On Oct. 25, George and Sherrie Sculley Lawrence Louisiana, dmg Claudia became parents of a daughter. The child will be named Rachel Kathleen Sculley. Mr. and Mrs. Sculley have three other children. Mrs. Edna Hilliard of Marion, 111. is the childs George grandmother. Sculley, Sr. of Hollywood, Fla. is the paternal grandfather. The first child bom to Karl D. and Brenda Gail Lawrence Schoenfeld will be named Amber Louise Schoenfeld. The girl was bom Oct. 27 in an Ogden hospital. Grandparents are Bessie Schoenfeld of Syracuse and Wendell and Doris Lawrence of Layton. Great-grandparen- are Sherman and Hazel Oxley of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Kaysville Members of the late Leonard and Blanch Hill family held their family organization meeting at the Rock Chapel on Saturday evening Oct. 29 with Mr. and Mrs Glen W. YOUTH Davis County Commissioners signed a proelamanon Tuesday requested by three representatives of the Coalition which will set aside Nov. 19 as Family Day in Davis County. Pro-Famil- Pro-Lif- ; : j e THREE LAYTON women Carolyn Wright, Sally Krouth and Barbara Mankel also asked commissioners to sign a resolution personal addressed to the coalition, which they said will be sent to Washington D. C. Although Commissioner C. E. Moss said he had previously signed the resolution, both Commissioner Glen Pro-Lif- e Flint and Wendell Zaugg signed the document at the request of the two women. THE THREE women are of a group from Utah who said they are chartering an airplane to fly to Houston to hold a rally on Nov. 19 an hour prior to the opening of the International Women's Year Conference (IWY) on The prolife group rented the Astro Arena has in Houston and representatives from different parts of the country are funding the trip to Houston to protest the IWY conference. Mrs. Krouth said she has talked to women from Ogden through Bountiful, trying to gain their support of the movement. The group will ask Congress to declare Nov. 19 as Family Day. COMMISSIONER Wendell Zaugg made the motion to sign the proclamation. I move we back this group. The faction opposes the two groups of women who will be ofgoing to IWY Houston-t- he ficial delegation elected at the IWY conference in Utah in July which is headed by Georgia Peterson, a member of the Utah Legislature, and part eight Nov. Spokesmen for the Pro-Lif-e Coalition told commissioners that neither of these groups will support their interests at the 19-2- delegates selected by the National IWY Committee. Pro-Famil- Houston conference. IN OTHER business, the Marines Promote Cong County planner Scott Carter said the courts should be completed on April 30. Mr. Carter said the four lighted courts are presently under construction. Potter The county will pour the base for the courts. A 1977 commission signed a contract with Security Development Fence Co., Murray, for $28,190 to provide for the construction of two tennis courts at Davis County Park in Lay-to- made. Next the lights will be installed and the base poured so it can settle during the winter. THE ASPHALT will be laid next spring, after which the ' court is scheduled for surfacing prior to the spring opening.
