You need a vitamin-prescription for both medications and you should be supervised by a doctor, but a recent study showed that 88 percent of 1,104 patients with moderate to severe acne reported good to excellent results after eight weeks on the medication Now the bad news No matter how appealing it is to sun yourself on the beach, no matter how attractive you think a deep suntan is the ultraviolet rays of the son are responsible for most forms of skin cancer, so look out' DR. EDMUND Kleih, a Buffalo, New York derma tologist who has researched skin cancer says, If you must lie in the sun, do it before 10 a.m. and after 2pm, when ultraviolet rays are at their weakest. Remember, too, that on a cloudy day you can still get 70 to 80 percent of the ultraviolet rays. Protective lotions, he adds, will help block out these rays. Look for one that contains PABA acid and remember to reapply the lotion frequently, especially after you swim. Kristy Stephens, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs Allen I.
