Mrs. Nora Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Lotz, Mrs. Marjorie Ann Burton and children attended the wedding and reception in Tooele Thursday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Scott n Black. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Morton and daughters Laurie and Shirley spent the holiday weekend in Burley, Idaho with Mr. Mortons sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Higley and family. Enroute home they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Evan Weaver, former Kaysville neighbors who live at Grace, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Heaps and family were guests of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. James R. Smith of Washington D.C. at the Smith summer cabin at Pines Ranch in the Uintas, for the July 4th weekend. Masaru Yamada Hartal Conservation Fanner Of Ifee Year A Syracuse farmer has been named Conservation Farmer of the Year by the Davis County Soil Conservation District. CHOSEN FOR the award was Masaru Yamada, a native of Syracuse who was born on the Loran Thurgood farm of which his father was an early sharecropper. Mr. Yamada purchased a farm in 1957 and began conservation practices on the land with cooperation from the SDC.
