Funeral services were held Thursday at noon at the Seventh Ward Chapel at 590 West Antelope Drive for Mark W. I g Briggs. The THE LAYTON youth was killed early Monday morning -- in an automobile accident near Springville, Utah. He was born January 24, 1957, in Salt Lake City and was the son of Harold C. and Ellen Whitesides Briggs, of 369 West Gordon Avenue, Layton. Bishop Willis A. Evans was the speaker. A vocal duet, Ill Walk With God, was performed by Ann Meibos and Kay Heslop and accompanied by Julie Attridge. Remarks were by Allan L. Harris. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Parrish returned from Palo Alto, Calif, after driving their daughter, Miss Dorothy Parrish there to attend school. Dorothy is enrolling at Stanford University. Robert Templeton and son, Jeff and Danny Phelps enjoyed antelope hunting in the Wyoming area where Danny bagged his antelope during the hunt. Morris Johnson returned home Monday, Sept. 20, from two week stay in the LDS hospital where he underwent treatment for a heart attack. He is now convalescing at his home. After making their home in California for the past three years, Mr. and Mrs. LaRoy Easthope have returned back to Syracuse. Mrs. Easthope is teaching school at the Syracuse Elementary School this year, and she was engaged in this derwent major surgery this past week at the McKay Hospital in Ogden. She is making very good progress. Mrs. Mike Petersen and little son Danny of Rigby, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Stoker Ardell violin-solo- Findley, England left last week after spending three weeks visiting with Judge and Mrs. James O. Della Silva and family in Syracuse. Mrs. and her daughter plan to stop at Mt. Rushmore on their way home. They enjoyed a visit to Yellowstone Park while staying with the Della Silvas. They also went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, the Golden Spike Monument, Antelope Island, and toured the Temple Kirk-Wat- The Henk couple were in Syracuse for the marriage and wedding reception of their son Tom, who was married on Saturday to Miss Vonnie Jo Barber. A group of Senior Citizens from here joined others from the area and spent the first part of the week at Elko, Nevada, for a lovely outing. Those making the trip from Syracuse included: Mrs. Lena Bennett, Mrs. Sylvia Fielding, Mrs. Donna Painter, Mrs. Alice Rampton, Mrs. Lyra Criddle, Mrs. Hazel Barber and Mr. Arthur R. Anderson.
