Mrs. Gunnell left Monday by plane for San Mateo, Calif, to visit their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Garde. Her daughter will return to Utah with her for a short visit with her parents. Connie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Barton of Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Thorne and family attended the funeral service on Wednesday July 14 in Magna of her mother, Mrs. Evelyn Stauffer Farmer who died Sunday at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bishop and sons Max and Kenneth of Clamath, Wash, have returned home after spending three weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Bishop and other relatives and friends. While here they attended the National County Officials Convention at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Max Bishop entertained at family parties in their honor during their stay. Arriving Saturday from Corvallis, Oreg. is Mr. and Mrs. David Tingey and two sons who will be visiting with her mother Mrs. Orson Hollist. Mrs. Tingey is the former Dawnell Hollist. Mr. and Mrs. Rick Thorne and family of Wakefield, Colo., have been visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Thome. They came for the funeral service of his grandmother, Mrs. Wallace. Farmer held at Magna on Wednesday. Elder Keith Slade has returned from serving a two year LDS mission to the Mission. He returned home July 7, and gave his mission report on July 11 in the Kaysville Ninth LDS Ward Sacrament meeting. Enroute home he visited the Swiss and London LDS Temples. Keith is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Slade. Bret and Angie Reeves of Logan are visiting a week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Udell Green. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Neville and family attended the LDS Pageant at Manti this past weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McCurdy and family have returned recently from a vacation trip to Portland, Oreg. where they attended the 50th wedding anniversary of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Mr. and Mrs. Don Adams entertained at their traditional family July 4 holiday at n their home this year. Mr. and Mrs. William S. Bennett spent the weekend at Joes Valley Reservoir in Southern Utah on a fishing trip. Houseguests for two weeks of Mrs. Jennie Hollist were McCurdy. They drove on to Seattle, Washington where they visited with friends and also spent time in British Columia at Lake Louise and Banaff National Parks. Enroute home they attended the Calgary Stampede and visited with relatives in that area. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Neville and family attended the Roseberry family reunion at Provo last week. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Phillips and family attended the Robertson family reunion at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City on Saturday July 17. Vaughn Perkins and sons and attorney David Bean and his sons spent a few days at Shoshone, Ida. on a fishing trip. Brown at Boise, Ida. on July 8. Mr. Brown was the brother of Mrs. Duckworth and Mrs. Steed. He was killed in a plane crash along with his three grandsons.
