Girls State is a program to educate young women in the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American Citizenship. It is an effort on the part of the American Legion Auxiliary to bring to the girls of Utah, a knowledge of fundamental principals of Easter Specials that arrived to their daughters on Saturday and Sunday. It was a little baby boy that arrived on Saturday to Mr. and Mrs. Brent Waters. This made their third son, and one daughter. Mrs. Waters was the former Ann Schofield of Syracuse. The other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Forest Waters of Roy, Utah. On Sunday morning a little baby boy arrived to Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Curtis. This is their first child. Mrs. Curtis was the former Coleen Schofield. This little one is also blessed with more grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Curtis, Roy, Utah. AS FUTURE voters and office holders, the girls should have an understanding of the problems of elective officials, their duties and their functions. The opportunity to learn these fundamentals will be offered at Girls State. Every girl will have an integral part in the functions. The girls will be in charge of trained and capable directors and chaperons. Both Kaysville delegates are sponsored by the Kaysville American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 82, said Mrs. Cheney, np rt s Dale H.
