No question about that. They also pay for a lot of programs I wouldnt be caught dead (which is about as silly as some of the TV commercials statements. If I were dead, would I be watching? The people who make television snack foods have a problem. At mv house a TV and the commercials are given equal time has said them. Loudly, even if they snack includes everything from a cold chicken leg to potato chips to a bowl of cereal to ice cream and candy and frequently all of them simultaneously. The problem is the commercials are not always geared to improving the appetite of the audience. talk to themselves. Sometimes, however, the most fun part of the show is watching the funny commercials that werent intended to be. I am particularly fond of the used car salesmen. teen aged boy who is snack minded complains about the commercial ruining his appetite, those TV snack people have a real problem. WHEN A IT DOES seem that there must be some qualifications required for an individual to be a successful salesman especially with a product as open to question as a previously owned Im not complaining. Perish forbid. Anything that might decrease snackers appetites would be most welcomed even such as clogged au- tomobile. Wouldnt you think such a group might at some sinuses and other assorted drains. If it will cut down on the food bill, go ahead and unplug in public. SOAP PEOPLEhave a problem too. They still persit in singing their commercials. Hasnt anyone ever told them housewives hate their little ditties so much they wouldnt use their soap even if they gave us a bigger box? Some of cant stand just to little the compass and get ring, mothers object. cereal they those little catchy tunes get hooked in my brain and go round and round for weeks. 1 dont know whether the tune is stupid or I am and Im not going to discuss it. ONE OF my friends whose daughter had loaded her cart down with grocery Some mothers complain that their children have to buy absolutely everything they see on the commercials, and when the kids insist on buying a years supply of a bars thirty-tw- o of soap which wont make her skin filmy said she was about to take the soap and go throw the bars through windows at the local station. But shes afraid they would be narrow minded. Its OK for the TV people to fill our living rooms with TV seems quality the used car people are trying to convey and they obviously dont think professional television people are sincere. After watching some of the local used car people on television over the years, I admit their acting ability has improved just a touch, but their sincerity has decreased at about equal THERE ARE things to be said against commercials and anyone who watches late movies in which the program layJoini: $2400 to of contem- (acfOM from that have been conducted.
