The new addition arrived on Feb. 4 at the McKay-De- e George Williams of Toquer-villUtah. Announcing the arrival of their second child are Mr. and Mrs. Roger Richins of 1643 e, Hospital weighing in at 7 lbs. 10 ozs. and will be named Dennis Shane. East Mrs. Rasmussen will be remembered as the former Arlene Thorson of Kaysville. The happy grandparents making the news known are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thorson of Kaysville and Mrs. Carvel Rasmussen of Clearfield. Its a daughter for Mr. and Mrs. Jerry GileS'otTaylors-ville- , formerly of Kaysville. The pink bundle arrived on Jan. 26 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City and weighed in at 6 lbs. 13 ozs. She will be named Becky Jean. The Giles have three children at home, Kim, Kristie and David to welcome the new addition. The grandparents are Mrs. Sarah Giles, Kaysville; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bleak of Salt Lake City. Its the first grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Doug Brian after the birth of a son bom Jan. 23 to Mr. and Mrs. Curt Tingey of Provo. It was difficult to tell which was the most excited, the new parents or the grandparents. The 8 lb. lad will be named Jacob Brian Tingey and the mother is the former Susan Brian of Fruit Heights. The other proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Tingey of Centerville The is Mrs. Wanda Sommers of Ogden. Theyre smarter than horses and remember what you tell them says Arvil Sessions of 562 So. State, Clearfield, referring to his mule. Besides helping with snow removal, Nebuchadnezzar assists in hauling dirt and in that favorite sport, deer hunting. Nicknamed Nebby, the animal has convinced Mr. Sessions of his superiority over horses. He understands what I mean, when I say, dont step on the plants, boasts the proud owner. SMART MULE Mews KasswoOlte Mrs. Howard Hawkes of Kaysville, her mother, Mrs. Hannah Pearson, Preston, Ida.; her sister, Mrs. Thelma Russell of Roy and her Mrs. Helen Pearson spent last week at Mesa, Ariz. where they were guests of another sister and her family, Mr. and Mrs. sister-in-la- Anthon Montgomery. Mike Snow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Snow, has received his mission call to serve a two year LDS mission to Mexico. He will enter the language training school on March 18. He will speak in the Tenth Ward Sacrament meeting on Sunday, March 14. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Cook have received word that their son, Paul Cook, has been ap- pointed district president over the Battlecreek District of the Michigan-Lansin- g mission. Mrs. Douglas Madsen of Layton entertained at a stork shower luncheon at her home on Saturday, Feb. 7, in honor of Mrs. Sharon Giles. Mrs. Grant Bond was assisting hostess. Twenty guests 6f family members attended. Mrs. George F. Snell spent Monday in Heber City with her mother, Mrs. Joseph . Mrs. Snell has been going to Heber City each week to assist her mother with compiling material to publish a book with the poems of her father, the late Joseph Olpin. With the help of family members each week they have it now to the publishers. Mrs. Snells mother will undergo major surgery next week at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City for knee replacement. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wildon of Kaysville were Monday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Bond. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Passey and sons Wynn and Bret and Sandra Kirk of Roy were guests in Syracuse Monday evening at a family birthday dinner in honor of their grandson, Wade, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Arkoudas. Wade was three years old. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse R. Dredge and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence B. Wade of Malad, Ida. were weekend guests of their son and daughter, Mr. ville. Mr. and Mrs. David Trujillo of Layton welcomed a son into their home on Jan. 7. The 8 lb. lad weighed in at the McKay-De- e Hospital in Ogden and will be named Casey Paul. This is their fourth child and fourth son. Mrs. Helen Barnes of Kaysville, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Trujillo of Washington are the grandparents. From Colonial Heights, Va. comes word of the arrival ot a baby daughter bom Feb. 1 to Mr. and Mrs. Roy Welty, former Kaysville residents. Former Kaysville residents their new family, Mr. and Mrs.x triplets. Bryan Floto of 1565 East 765 South, Ogden, can hardly believe and realize that on welcome Jan. McKay-De- e light brown hair, Bryan Mark has black hair and sister. Kimberly has auburn hair. All are doing well. THE NEW mother is the former Nancy Newton of Ogden. The have grandparents been almost, but not quite as excited as the parents. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Errett Floto of Kaysville and Dr. and Mrs. John D. Newton of Ogden. THE FATHER, Bryan was a 1970 graduate of Davis High School and is attending Weber State College in addition to "being on the Riverdale Police Force. and Mrs. Calvin Hales of Pingree, Ida. are the grandparents. Mrs. Sarah Giles received word as Mr. Welty made his home in Kaysville with the Giles family, np The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Levier Gardner Sr. of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. at the identical. Christopher has Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Welty of San Jose, Calif, and Mr. e. 29 Hospital in Ogden, they became the parents of two little sons and a daughter, their first children. HOW and EXCITING thrilling it was for these new parents when Christopher Jay was bom and weighed in at 5 lbs. 2 ozs., then along came Bryan Mark at 3 lbs. 1 oz. and last a little daughter, Kimberly, at 4 lbs. 15 ozs. There is somewhat a family resemblence, but they are not Little Holly weighed in at 8 lbs. 13 ozs. and is their third child and third daughter. She has two sisters Heather and Laura at home. Happy to have a little sister are four brothers and one other sister at home. and Mrs. Jesse R. Dredge II and family in Kaysville. They came to attend the ceremony Jost Heights. An 8 lbs. IS ozs. son was bom on Feb. 3 at the McKay-De- e Hospital in Ogden and will be named Brandon Roger. It is now one of each, as the Richins have a little daughter Melissa at home to welcome a playmate. Mrs. Richins will be remembered as the former Janet Taylor of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Taylor of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Clair Miller, also of Ogden are the grandparents. From alls, Texas comes word of the arrival of a baby daughter bom Jan. 23 to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thornock, formerly of Kaysville, the mother is the former Debbie Bennett.
