Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Godfrey and family were guests for Thanksgiving day dinner in Clarkston of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Heggie and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Laser and family had as holiday dinner guests, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Laser and two children, Nathan and Paul and Mrs. Elmer Burgoyne, her mother, of Bountiful. Miss Cindy Gerber spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Hurricane with her friend, Miss Mvrna Christensen. Thanksgiving dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Whitesides and family were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bedient, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Heyford, all of Kaysville. Arriving Saturday from Las Vegas, Nev. were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Layton and children who will spend the holiday vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Layton. Other guests for AFFORDABLE HOMES and other relatives and friends. Elder Douglas Robison returned home Friday, Nov. 18 from serving a two year LDS mission to the France-Toulous- e mission. He spent time touring in Europe after his release. President and Mrs. attended the funeral service of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Probst on Wednesday in the Midway 2nd LDS Ward chapel. Mrs. Nora Miller left Tuesday by plane for California where she will spend the holiday with her son Mr. and Mrs. Jack Miller and family at Taft and with her daughter-in-laMrs. Leon Miller and family at Pomona. She plans to visit for a few weeks. Miss Tammie Thorne of Syracuse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Thorne was among the band students who were selected to play in the Davis County Jr. High School district orchestra where a guest conductor from BYU led the orchestra.
