The couple request gifts be omitted. Mr. and Mrs. Green were married in the Salt Lake Temple on Nov. 7, 1917, with Joseph F, Smith, who was the president of the LDS Church at that time, performing the marriage ceremony. MR. GREEN was bom and reared in Layton. He was the son of John H. and Livina Pierce Green. He was educated in the schools of Davis County, served his country in World War I, is a high priest in the Layton Utah West Stake and is an active member of the Layton Second LDS Ward. He was a ward teacher supervisor for many years and is still serving as a home teacher. Mr. Green also has and still operates his farm here in West Layton, and greatly enjoys doing his daily chores around his home. He drove a school for the Davis County MALINDA (Minnie) Burton Green was bom in Kaysville. She was a daughter of John W. and Malinda J. Adams Burton. She also received her education in the Davis County schools and the LDS College in Salt Lake City. Following their marriage, they made their home in Layton. She has been actively engaged in numerous LDS Church positions in the West Layton and Layton Second Ward. She has been president of the Relief Society, and served as a visiting teacher for over 50 years, has been in the presidency of the Primary, and has taught various classes in all of the organizations, member of the Holly-Hoc- k Camp Daughters of Utah Pioneers, where she has served as lesson leader and also as an officer on the county board. Mrs. Green al- so belongs to the Layton Ladies Literary Club. MR. AND Mrs. Green are the parents of two sons and a daughter: Mrs. Jay H. (Marjorie) Simmons and Thayne R. Green, both of Layton; and John H. Green, Centerville.
