STUDENT speakers 4 will include: Jill Hess, Lisa Mickelson, Pam Scheuller, and Dan Maryon. Presentation of the graduates will be made by Principal Richard S. Stevenson, response bv Lucile Reading. The conferring of diplomas will be made by Dr. Lawrence Welling and Dr. Steve White from the Davis School Dis. trict office. Benediction, Joan Brough, secretary, Autos are lined up in the parking lot of the Kaysville East Stake center during the annual automotive clinic for the special interest AUTO CLINICS group. On Saturday May 21 an Automotive Car Clinic was held at the parking lot of the Kaysville East LDS Center. Stake GROUP of 18 outstanding and top mechanics of the area were on hand to give a service to complete tune-u- p A members of the Special Interest Group of the Kays- ville East Stake. The skilled mechanics donated their time to servicing these vehicles with a and complete tune-u- p checking other problems. The owners paid for the parts and then were advised of other problems the mechanics may wun tneir of found wrong vehicle, so they could have them repaired at a later date. THEY SERVICED all makes and models of American made cars as well as foreign cars. The Kaysville East Stake sponsors this car clinic annually to help those who are alone with their car problems. THE PROGRAM is under the direction of Don Edwards, high councilman, and Richard Weaver, president of the Special interest for the stake. Roy Hatch is supervisor. MR. ROSIER brought with him, two younger mechanics, Mike Moll and Bryan Peterson from the Davis High automotive shop who are top mechanics at a young age. Monte Vista School Monte Vista School in Farmington held graduation services and awards program at the school on Thursday, May Davis District. Two musical numbers by students and special Olympics report by Lex Marcusen. MUSICAL A BANQUET preceded the special program with seventy guests and was prepared by Loy Deen Howell and Ida Mikesell. The tables were decorated with hand made roses. Students from Bountiful High School served the dinner, they were Michelle Bean, Sharon Bearnson, Lisa Brown, Colene Hayes, LeAnn Jarrard and Chris Leishman. These girls volunteer for one hour every day, a practical learning experience for them, in various places at the school. ABOUT 170 friends and relatives were present for the graduation program. Graduating seniors were Michael G. Boulden of Bountiful; Janet Harmer, Layton; Pamela A. Moss, Clearfield and David R. Thomas, Sunset. Rulon Smith, head teacher was in charge of the program. The pledge of allegiance was led by Craig Snow. Next was the introduction of special guests, Phill Hardy, Special Education Superintendent, State Department; Roy Evans, Director of Pupil Personnel and Henry Emery, Cpordinater of Special Ed., numbers a small building was erected on this school and a special tribute to of STUDENTS many different personalities were sent here and she was successful with many that no one else could cope with. Exerpts from the tribute, she exhibits qualities of love and understanding for her students and their parents. She can accomplish wonders with the shy person or belligerent student. Has many talents and will tackle, with enthusiasm, any task she feels worthwhile. She has taught shop, gym, arts and crafts, home economics, reading, math and other subjects. MRS. ANDERSEN is always there where needed, has a talent to fit any task. She has probably served special education longer than any other teacher in Utah. She was the second special education teacher hired by Davis County, has the most years ot continued service. Boulden of Bountiful, who has grown in stature as well as in skills. Has a friendly handshake for all. His favorite hobby is swinging, his agility, grace and speed at roller skating are phenomenal. Janet Harmer, Layton, is a capable and willing worker. Is a whiz at sewing, will have a job in the workshop, is skilled and willing to work. PAMELA MOSS, Clearf- ield, likes people, has a lov- ing personality and is liked by all. Is a good student and has proven her ability working in the workshop a half day the past months. David R. Thomas is everybodys friend, is the silent handsome type. He is an excellent worker and will surely succeed in the High Honor Graduates: JANIS, WHO is now 46, graduated from the Weber County School District Adult Education program as a high school graduate. My diploma will say I School District Adult Education, she said. But to me, Im just as much a genuine high school graduate as if I had graduated with my high school class in 1948. And she meant it! time, she lived in North Ogden but about a year ago moved to Afton, Wyoming, where there were no facilities or any way she could complete her high school AT THE education. So my sister drove more than 300 miles round-tri- p from her new home in Wyoming to Weber High School every Tuesday. This class will be held two hours daily for four weeks, beginning May 31 and ending June 27.
